Who we are

What data we use and why

When you write to us, call us or book a call: your name, email address, phone number, company and what you tell us about your app. We use them to answer you and prepare a quote (legal basis: steps before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering you).

Calls are booked through our Google Calendar booking page: your name, email address and the time you choose go into our calendar, and Google adds the Google Meet link. We keep them like the rest of our correspondence.

If we work together: the data needed for the contract, invoicing and our legal obligations (legal basis: the contract and legal obligations).

The "Do you really own your app?" test runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never sent to us or stored.

If we contacted you first

We contact companies whose apps on Google Play or the App Store seem to be no longer updated. We take the contact details (the company address, contact email, the name of a contact person) from public sources: the app's store page, the company's website and public company registers.

We use them only to write to you about the app, based on our legitimate interest. If you tell us you don't want to be contacted, we stop and keep only your address so we don't write to you again.

When we write to you about your app, we may prepare a page with its check-up at a private link that only you receive. The page holds only public information from the store listing (the app's name, its last update, the versions it targets, the developer's name), is kept out of search engines and is not linked from this site. We delete it after 90 days, as soon as you tell us you're not interested, or whenever you ask.

We record when this page is opened: the date and time, and whether it looks like a browser or a program that checks links automatically. No IP address and no cookies. We use it only to know whether our message arrived, and the record is deleted with the page.

This website

This website uses no cookies. For visitor statistics we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't track you across sites.

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and the technical details of each request to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks.

Who else has access

We use providers that process data on our behalf: Google (email, calendar and documents, through Google Workspace) and Cloudflare (website hosting). Some of them may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards the law requires (standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

We don't sell data or give it to anyone for marketing.

How long we keep data

Correspondence that doesn't lead to work together: at most 2 years after the last message. Documents of a project: as long as the law requires (for accounting records, usually 10 years).

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to us at tiberiu.jinga@appdoctor.eu; we answer within one month.

You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country, or to the Romanian authority, ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro).
